Fixed scale model

To go more in-depth, a fixed scale model allows for understanding how the built arch was integrated in the Romanesque buildings that we can still visit today.

This fixed scale model reproduces Clermond-Ferrand’s Notre-Dame-du-Port’s central nave and side aisles on two bays. It was made with the participation of François Voinchet, Head Architect of the Moulins Historic Monuments. Its scale is 1/19. It is approximately one-meter tall, 80 centimetres wide and 40 centimetres deep. It weighs 50 kilos and is made up of separable pieces that are for the most part made with MDF.
